Office 2024 Pro Plus runs locally on Windows: you can work offline and save your files on your computer or wherever you choose. Compared with Office 2021 it brings a refreshed interface consistent with Windows 11, new Excel functions and performance improvements.

What this edition does not include

As a perpetual edition, Office 2024 Pro Plus does not include the Microsoft 365 cloud services: there is no Copilot or other AI assistant, no cloud storage or cloud-based security services are included, and real-time co-authoring is limited (it only works with files stored on OneDrive or SharePoint). The feature set is fixed at release; new features are not added over time.

Security and support

Microsoft provides security updates for Office 2024 for 5 years, until 9 October 2029. Documents can be protected with passwords and encryption.
